You just purchased a sweet set of 18-inch wheels. After bolting them on, it looks like you're in a 4-wheel-drive musclecar. Maybe it's time to drop the bomb.
Heidt's Hot Rod Shop can assist you in coming back to earth. Heidt's offers many quality musclecar components including tubular control arms, dropped spindles, adjustable rear control arms, coilover kits, brakes, bolt in four-link kits and more.
If you have a '67-69 Camaro or '68-72 Chevelle, Heidt's can help. We suggest starting with its 2-inch drop spindles at $299 a pair. These are made of steel for durability and feature a tall design to better facilitate camber change during suspension movement.
To complement the new spindles, we suggest the company's tubular upper and lower control arms. The lower arms can be obtained for coilover or standard applications. These units require no modifications and come in standard and narrowed widths. The lower arms retail at $579 a pair, and the uppers go for $399 a pair. Not only will these parts bolster handling, but they are lighter than stock, which aids acceleration and improves braking.
Total cost for this modification checks in at $1,277, which leaves some cash for shipping, bearings, and brake parts if needed.
