The excitement has dwindled, and you're no longer happy with the usual timeslips at the track. Have you considered a power adder of some sort?
NitrousWorks will be able to assist. The company carries a wide variety of nitrous systems, for both fuel-injected and carbureted applications, single-stage or dual-stage hits. Custom designed systems are also available. NitrousWorks, a part of Barry Grant Inc., is always on the cutting edge of technology, as expected.
There are many different systems available, depending on the caliber of your ride and the strength of the engine internals. Provided your engine is built to withstand the rigors of nitrous, we've selected a single-stage system featuring the NitrousWorks-Billet Atomizer plate (part number 12010). This system is adjustable from 150 to 400 hp. It's recommended that a separate fuel supply be run with an additional fuel pressure regulator. We also recommend its MaxPak bottle heater kit (part number 16032). It's important to keep the bottle pressure at a constant 1000 to 1100 psi, for optimal safety and performance.
For additional safety it's recommended that a RPM Window Switch be employed. We recommend MSD part number 8969. The window switch creates an on/off point set by the end user. This can be used to avoid a detrimental nitrous backfire caused by a stuck throttle or faulty rev-limiter.
Now that we've added over 100 hp at the wheels, we'll need to control tire slippage. In order to get your ride to hook we recommend a set of Mickey Thompson ET Drag Slicks. M/T uses a special rubber compound that requires less heat in order to achieve traction. Less burnouts equal longer life.
For the street-oriented car, a Nitto 555R is recommended. The NT555R is a DOT-approved drag radial designed for street/strip duty, featuring a high-grip compound and large contact patch. Whether at the track or on the street, the NT555R allows you to launch with confidence.
This particular package checks in around $1,300. That's $200 under budget-leaving some cash to fill your nitrous bottle with some giggle gas.
