Oh I shudder to think how long something like this takes. Sanding the jambs and all the nooks and crannies on a car can take quite a bit of your time. However if a car is going to be repainted, it is a necessary evil. And what's more, this is one of those projects that you can do yourself and save some cash. If you had to pay a body shop their hourly rate to do this job you might be looking at a couple hundred dollars of time. A wire brush at the end of my 3-inch angle grinder worked OK, then I tried a Nylon brush on the grinder, I didn't care for the results...I tried several different methods for removing the paint.
