One cause for excitement was the thought of upgrading our factory gauge package for a new set of Auto Meter Pro Comp Ultra Lite gauges. Eight Torx bolts retain the factory panel. We found it necessary to unbolt and lower the steering column to get the dash out of the car. The factory dash operated with signals from two plugs and a manual speedometer cable. The cable was a little tricky to release, but once free the dash slid out easily.
