6. We retained our stock fuel tank, so we needed a clean way to introduce the return line. The tank has one vent, but using it as a return path was not an option. Since the fuel cap isn’t vented, blocking the vent by returning fuel would result in a collapsed tank. Using a vented cap is also out of the question since the filler neck sits low in the tank and under acceleration the fuel would spill out. The best option we found was this dual line inlet from Classic Car Auto Parts. It has a main feed line and a return line already incorporated in the unit. Before we installed it in the tank, we made sure the sending unit was working properly with an ohmmeter.
