Somewhere between remote control stereos, steering wheel button controls, Global Positioning Systems (GPS), and so on, we felt slightly out of touch when talking about installing a cruise control kit. Yeah, cruise control has been around for a long time, but if your car didn't come with it, would you install it? Maybe you would if you drove long distances on freeways all the time. Or maybe the thought of installing cruse control makes you feel as queasy as it does us. For some reason, the idea of installing it ourselves just doesn't sound easy, and we have all heard about the not-so-complete kits with nothing but problems. However, like everything else in the aftermarket world, someone came up with a kit that takes the pressure off of us, making something like installing cruise control, and having it work properly, seem doable. This kit from Dakota Digital is a microprocessor-based cruise control unit. There are very few wires to hook up, and it doesn't take up much space. Other than that, this kit is universal so there will be many extra parts and choices for you to go through.
