Round and round she goes, where the prices stop nobody knows. Yeah, I'm talking about wheels and tires here. From the ridiculous to the sublime, we all have to have them on our vehicle, unless you're a cave man, struggling with the square stone wheels.

I'll bet the ancient Roman charioteers had a great time customizing the wheels on their chariots. There must have been a whole aftermarket industry dedicated to re-popping wheels with spears and spikes, blades and togas. Well, maybe not the togas. Then one day one charioteer decided he wanted to back to the OE look and was tired of shopping at swap meets looking for an old set, and that started a whole new industry, too.

Today modern man and modern hot rodders are akin to the hot rodding charioteers of ancient days. Nothing can set your ride apart from the crowd like wheels, tires and stance. A whole industry has sprung up dedicated to feeding the need of hot rodders in search of the perfect wheel and tire combo. Just take a look at some of the photos that we have in this collection.
