17 For this test, Hotchkis decided to try the company's 1-inch drop spring for '64-72 A-bodies with a big-block. These worked out to be a pretty good spring for this application, but Hotchkis will be building a specific spring for the B-bodies shortly. The springs have a rate of 580 lb/in, which will offer more steering response without being too stiff. Plus, the shorter height of the spring let Corey install them without need of a spring compressor.
