The spindle is now turned to gain access to the stabilizer/sway bar end link, which will be removed. Once both end links are removed, the sway bar can be taken from the vehicle (it won't be reinstalled). Next, we put a slight load under the control arm via a jack. This is critical when removing the spindle so the coil spring does not let loose (creating a potential trip to the hospital). It is now time to remove the cotter pins and fasteners holding the upper and lower A-arms to the spindle. View Related Article
