Coilover Suspension Installation - 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle - Corner Carving On G-Street Photo Gallery
Here is what you get with the rear g-Link system (minus the rearend): a beefy set of adjustable upper and lower arms with True Center pivot ball ends. There are two braces that tie the upper and lower arm mounts together for further rigidity. The heavy-duty, fully rebuildable pivot balls will stand up to a big suspension load and still allow for smooth articulation and bind-free travel. The pivot balls’ preload can also be adjusted so as they wear you can tighten them back up. Supporting the weight is another set of double adjustable Varishocks and springs. The key to the rear coilover conversion is the heavy duty brackets Alston makes to mount the coilovers to the stock frame and rear end. We also added a 1-1/8-inch adjustable rear sway bar to the system.
