The brand-new pump and hardware, made specifically for Master Power Brakes, comes just as you see here. Installation is made easy with the use of the built-in on/off switch that automatically knows when the vacuum pressure has fallen below the necessary 18 inches needed to power the brake booster properly. The brand-new pump and hardware, made specifically for Master Power Brakes, comes just as In the quest for that "rumpity-rump" sound, and all the performance that goes with it, your engine will more than likely lose the consistent flow of vacuum needed to aid your foot when the time comes to mash the brake pedal to stop your screaming hunk of metal. In other words, big cams and power brakes don't mix. Or do they? Master Power Brakes is making sure everyone can have both, with its new electric vacuum pump. Imagine, if you will, when the engine is on a rump, all the vacuum is being stolen into the firing cylinders in order to produce the necessary amount of air/fuel mixture to keep your engine running-thus the reason for that lopey idle and why the factory installs such tame cams. It wasn't easy for manufacturers to make an engine idle smoothly in the beginning. Internal combustion engines, by nature, don't want to idle smoothly; they just want to suck up as much air and fuel as possible. Add to that a cam that allows even more air and fuel to enter the cylinders, and you have the proverbial rumpity-rump idle characteristics. The universal mount has been designed for numerous mounting positions and will make installation a snap. The rubber bushings are supplied to absorb much of the vibration and noise common on any type of air pump. The universal mount has been designed for numerous mounting positions and will make instal The best method to introduce a consistent flow of vacuum to your brake booster is to bolt on a special vacuum pump and canister. Master Power Brake's new specialized vacuum pump doesn't need a canister, however. This new pump has a built-in sensor that will measure the vacuum and deliver the necessary amount only when needed. The pump turns on and off on its own, which means longer life and better efficiency. This new pump, however, can be used in conjunction with a vacuum canister, which will cut down the pump's running time even more. Master Power has added a universal-mounting bracket to the kit, so placement won't be a problem. These pumps do make some noise when running, but if you're planning on needing a vacuum pump, you're also planning on some serious rumbling through the exhaust, rumbling that will be far louder than this pint-sized pump.
