All is ready but it seems that as it turns over the firing order is wrong. Can this be adjusted through the ECM ? We had it reflashed to the correct specs...we think. Is there something else that would need to be changed. There was the stock LS1 in there before. It already has a T-5 5 speed trans, 12 bolt posi rear end with 3.42 gears, and its dropped 4". I want to build something other than the typ. V-8 everyone runs around here. Was thinking about building a 292 straigt 6 (already have from an '83 K-20 parts truck) with a turbo. Being that I've never built a 6 cyl., or a turbo motor, I could use all the help I can get! The motor is shot, I was wondering if I could put a 4.3l vortec from a blazer in it. And how much work would it take to put in the 4.3l and its transmission also. Any help, tips, or good advice would be GREATLY appreciated. This is a truck that is sitting junk and I'm still having to make a payment on it. I just payed a mechanic 400 dollars to tell me that it needs a new motor and it took him 6 months of having it to tell me this. The calendar is a bonus for the newsstand buyers, sort of a thank you, for spending more money than subscription buyers I guess. I know what it costs to include calendars in the mail makes the cost of postage go way up. It seems that the Vega steering box will fit 67-69 Camaro's. Has anyone performed trhe swap. If so, any problems. I want to stay with manual steering but looking to decrease the ration of the box from 24-1 to 16-1 or so. Any advise, can it be done?, many modifications needed?, are modifications expensive? I am on a limited budget but have a line on a wrecked GTO for a very reasonable price and wondering if the efforts are worth it. As the subject says, I need quarter panel skins for my 71 nova but summit, jeggs and ebay all charge crazy freight rates. I live in south texas and i'm almost certain there isnt a local place that sells em. Does anyone know of a texas place or even another seller that charges low freight rates on body panels. If i have to pay $130-$160 freight charges then i guess i will but just wanted to see if there were other options out there.
