Spring has sprung, or at least it’s getting there, and that means that the event season will start ramping up pretty fast. And while we only have two seasons here in Southern California (hot and dry / cool and dry) the rest of the country is starting to stow away the parkas and snow shovels in preparation for driving weather. Yeah, I’m pretty spoiled here in SoCal, but I can imagine the excitement of pulling your favorite Chevy out of storage after months of being mothballed.
This season looks to be a busy one with all of our favorite events and more on the schedule. Soon we will be starting our Happenings department to keep you in the loop regarding what’s on deck event wise so you can plan accordingly. Now, we love beating on our cars, but to be honest we don’t care if you’re driving to a show and shine or blasting down the straightaway of your favorite road course, just so long as you’re driving, and hence enjoying, your Chevy.
As I said, this season is going to be a busy one with a huge number of Original Super Chevy Shows taking place across the country. These are great events that mix the traditional car show with drag racing action. For those that want even more of an adrenaline fix, the Optima Ultimate Street Car Association will be putting on some great driving events at some of the most famous tracks in the county. Add in specialty events like the Tri-Five Nationals and F-Body Nationals and you’re going be hard-pressed to find time to do your chores. Of course, we can’t forget one of our favorite events, the Holley LS Fest. We were happy to hear that Holley will once again be having an event in Las Vegas in addition to their epic throw down in Bowling Green, Kentucky. So keep your eyes open for notifications on hot events near you, and we look forward to seeing you at one, or more, of them!
