What’s your idea of “the ultimate Corvette?” Does it have the most powerful engine that Chevrolet offered in it–and is it painted a brilliant red?
Those are just a couple of the reasons why you should enter the 2015 Corvette Dream Giveaway. You just might win not one, but two of them–plus $50,000 to pay the taxes on both.
One of them is one of the most sought-after of the midyear C2 Corvettes: a 1967 Sting Ray coupe, powered by the RPO L71 427-inch V-8 that boasts three two-barrel carburetors atop Chevy’s strongest regular-production engine. The L71 sports the “Chevrolet Tonawanda: The Number One Team” pride sticker on the right valve cover to prove it, and was factory rated at 435 horsepower. An RPO M21 Muncie four-speed manual gearbox backs the engine. It exhales through a set of RPO N14 side-mount exhausts, and rides on a set of repro redline tires mounted on a set of RPO N89 bolt-on aluminum wheels (a 1967-only option).
It all adds up to a Vette that impressed the NCRS judges, who awarded it their coveted “Top Flight” award, and turns heads–and ears–today the same way that it did nearly five decades ago when it rolled out of Chevy’s St. Louis (Missouri) Assembly Plant and shook windows up and down Natural Bridge Road. It’s finished in Bright Red with a black “stinger” on its scooped, 427-exclusive hood, with a black interior that looks like the one you remember seeing in your hometown Chevy dealer’s showroom many moons ago.
The other giveaway Vette calls on a legendary Corvette option code–Z06–to tell the world that it’s the 21st century version of that ultimate regular production Vette. The 2015 Corvette Z06 coupe is the culmination of team Corvette’s research and engineering efforts that resulted in a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 with Direct Injection, variable valve timing, active fuel management, and dry-sump oiling. The LT4 V-8 breathes out a dual-mode exhaust and is matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission equipped with both a console shifter and paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Huge Brembo carbon disc brakes at each corner haul this Z06 down to a stop, and active handling with traction control to make sure all that power doesn’t get away from you.
A carbon-fiber hood and removable roof panel adorn the exterior. Inside, it has sport bucket seats covered in black Mulan leather; OnStar with 4G LTE and mobile Wi-Fi hotspots for up to seven devices; MyLink radio with an 8-inch diagonal HD screen and Sirius XM Satellite Radio; a three-spoke, leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel; dual-zone climate control; and lots more.
While the Z06’s supercharged LT4 puts out 650 horsepower in stock form–enough to power it to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds, through the quarter-mile in just over 10 seconds, and give you a “jet smooth,” vibration-free ride for those times you don’t have your foot in it—this one’s been upgraded by Lingenfelter Performance to produce 725 hp. That’s 725 neck-snapping, retina-stretching, pavement-pounding horsepower!
What’s all that performance worth if you can’t afford to keep them? That’s why $50,000 is also part of the prize package—so you can pay the tax due on them, without having to turn around and sell ’em the moment you get ’em home.
But there’s a bigger reason to enter the 2015 Corvette Dream Giveaway than just these two primo examples of “America’s Only True Sports Car.” Your entry—at just $3.00 for 1 ticket, $10.00 for 5, $50 for 40, $100 for 100 tickets, etc.—supports New Beginnings Children’s Homes (NBCH), who provides family-style, long-term residential care that gives foster children a safe and faith-centered family atmosphere to heal, grow, and be loved while they’re going through tough times in their lives. (NBCH is a registered, legit 501(c) 3 organization, by the way, and your donations via your ticket purchases are totally tax-deductible.)
Your entry also allows New Beginnings Children’s Homes to provide grants to a number of other worthwhile charities, including Disabled American Veterans; National Guard Educational Foundation; the National Association of Christian Churches; Smile Network International; Mothers Against Drunk Driving; and Detroit Rescue Mission Charities.
In fact, those who benefit from those grants—and the kids that NBCH serves and supports—are the real winners in the 2015 Corvette Dream Giveaway.
Isn’t that a good reason to buy more than one, and to encourage your friends and family to do so as well? We thought so. That’s why you’re already logging on to www.dreamgiveaway.com/dg/corvette to buy your tickets.
