Being in this industry, we have the luxury of having the ability to tour some of our favorite shops, being as how we work with so many of them in building our project cars.
One shop we, or more particularly, your author
wants needs to visit, is KP Racing.
You may have heard of KP Racing in the past, as being the shop who backed Kelly Bise, and his bitchin’ Camaro over the course of these last several years. Unfortunately, as we all now know, Kelly’s Camaro is no longer with us after a terrible spill with Joe Huneycutt behind the wheel while at a standing mile event last March.
But now Kelly Bise is back, and he’s having KP Racing build him a replacement out of a C6 Corvette. We’re able to grab a peek of the car while KP Racing owner, Steve Knight, gives us a guided tour. Although they have a huge late-model GM clientele, they also provide services for late-model Ford and Chrysler vehicles as well; including the Ford GT and the Viper.
KP Racing also dabbles with LS-swapped classic cars, too, including the LSA-powered ’68 Camaro in the video, and you can see Huneycutt discussing the dyno pull with the car’s owner in the background at one point.
KP Racing offers their potential customers a clean, professional, and organized tech center for those interested in taking their late-model (or late-model powered) musclecar or sports car to the next level. In case you haven’t already, click the link above to have Steve give you the guided tour.
