Chevrolet continues to find new ways to personalize the Corvette Stingray for its potential buyers. One size certainly does not fit all, and the two new design packages pit east coast versus west coast styling. The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Atlantic convertible and Pacific coupe were introduced last fall at the SEMA Show, and will enter production as packages for the luxury and track minded individuals.
The Atlantic convertible is a “luxury GT” built for cruising the coast in comfort and style, inspired by the “private jets seen at European vacation destinations.” This package is offered on the 2015 Corvette in either the 2LT or 3LT trim level, but only on Z51-equipped convertibles. The unique features that define this 2015 Corvette package include: Z06-style front splitter; chrome Torque wheels; Shark Gray exterior vents, “stinger” graphic on the hood and tonneau inserts; Stingray underhood liner and floor mats; custom splash guards, rear license plate frame, and logo valve stem caps; and custom luggage.
For the west coast track rats that want to thrash their 2015 Corvette on open track days, the Pacific Design Package offers loads of racy features. Again the Z51 package must be selected first on the 2015 Corvette coupe, and both the 2LT and 3LT trim levels will accommodate. Carbon inside and out – “CFZ” ground effects, clear carbon roof panel and interior trim – combined with satin black full-length stripes and satin black Z51 wheels scream racecar. A red stripe and Stingray center caps break up the wheels, and match the red brake calipers. The rear spoiler, mirrors, and exterior badges are all painted Carbon Flash for yet another speedy accent. However, the primary colors available include: Torch Red, Black, Artic White, Blade Silver, and Shark Gray (new color). And of course no track-going 2015 Corvette would be complete without the Competition Sport Seats (in red or black). Custom license plate frame, splash guards, indoor car cover, Stingray sill plates and floor mats are also included.
“We plan to make news with the Corvette Stingray every year, in part by offering special-edition models that offer a unique, personal ownership experience,” said Todd Christensen, Corvette marketing manager. “Our customers have told us they appreciate these limited-edition models, which have become an important part of the Corvette’s legacy.”
Other new additions to the 2015 Corvette include the 8-speed paddle-shifted automatic transmission and the Performance Data Recorder, both of which are available on the Atlantic and Pacific. Keep it locked right here for more updates on the 2015 Corvette.
