Garage Letters - 1957 Chevy Tri Five

All Purpose '57

I thought you might be interested in seeing my take on a 1957 Chevy. I have driven the car on seven Hot Rod Power Tours and three Canadian Street Rod Nat's. I've won several awards, including Goodguys Homebuilt Heaven trophy's twice. This isn't just a looker, and runs 11.20s in the quarter-mile and gets around 20 mpg. I should mention that I also added power seats, power windows, and cruise control. Under the hood is a 427ci aluminum mill with 11:1 compression, Edelbrock 200cc cylinder heads, a COMP Cams Thumpr cam, and 7 psi of boost through a 177 blower with a Snow boost cooler and a 75hp nitrous shot. For the suspension, I use QA1 coilovers, tube control arms, and Hellwig sway bars for the front and rear.

1957 Chevy Tri 1/2

Robert, you have one incredible 1957 and should be proud of your ride. Thanks for sharing, and that's pretty close to what we're looking to do with our own Tri-Five. It'll mostly be a driver, but we certainly want to hit a variety of track days, including the dragstrip and autocross.
