Effective this Thursday, order processing will be suspended on the 2014 Camaro ZL1 model and SS Performance Package (RPO: 1LE). While the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires are extremely sticky, they are not meant for winter driving. As such, GM does not want to deliver any cars in inclement weather.
The temporary suspension will start November 21st and resume February 11th, 2014. This will affect Camaro production from January to March 2014. However, any ZL1 or 1LE built through December will still be shipped to dealers. Translation: get your orders in today, or be shut out in the cold! [Or would it be, by the cold?]
In other Camaro production news, the beige convertible top (RPO: 67T) will cease production after the 2014 model year. The last window for dealers to submit orders (Dealer Order Submission Process) starts December 5th, so if this combo is a must-have – contact a dealer immediately. After the model year, the black top (RPOL 19T) will still be available, and the blue convertible top is also available with the 2014 Camaro Spring Special edition (as seen at the 2013 SEMA Show).
