Our buddies over at GM High Tech Performance Magazine recently wrote about a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 (with only 40 miles on the odometer) that was modified by Redline Motorsports with a twin-turbo setup. As huge Camaro fans, and more so bowtie lovers, we thought it would be cool to share and discuss this a little further.

As innovators, trend setters, and enthusiast, Redline Motorsports was trusted to give this 2014 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 a power modification like no other. The easy thing would’ve been to increase pressure on the factory TVS1900 supercharger and let it be. However, Redline wanted to go with a more unique approach. The team decided to scrap the idea of adding more boost to the supercharger all-together and instead installed an IPS Motorsports twin-turbo system.

The 6.2L Chevy still runs on pump gas, while the factory supercharger was replaced by an LS3 intake manifold. That manifold is fed by a pair of 62.5mm Garrett 35R billet turbos, TiAL wastegates, and a front-mount air-to-air intercooler. The turbos run at 14psi each. From what we hear, the owner was interested on keeping the natural roadability of the stock converter and 6L90E transmission. We’re extremely stoked to see how this car performs.
