You gotta love rap videos. Every single one of them shows some dude rollin' hard in a new Escalade with four girls hanging on his shoulder. On top of that, every rapper has their bling-bling (jewelry). I guess it's not so crazy, after all, hot rodders spend more money and thought adding bling to an engine, than any one man probably should

If you stop and think about it, there are a whole heap of cars out there sportin' billet engine accessories, pulleys, brackets, and so on. Granted, they often serve a purpose, such as serpentine conversion kits. But what we're most interested in is the bling factor. One company that has been at the forefront of manufacturing and supplying high-quality billet accessories is Billet Specialties, whose wares range anywhere from billet rims, to antennas, window cranks, engine brackets, and accessories. The amount of "billet bling" they have for cars is insane. The problem with many billet accessories is that they're going to burn a hole in your pocket, especially billet serpentine conversion kits, engine brackets, pulleys, and nose cones. Knowing this, Billet Specialties has come up with a way for the not-so-extensive-budget builder to add some bling, along with a more efficient belt system, to their motors

Ahhh...the smell of fresh billet wrapped in cellophane.

Billet Specialties' new serpentine conversion kits for small- and big-block Chevrolet motors provide a quality product at a reasonable price. The new kits are developed with the same ingenuity and workmanship as any other product in their extensive line. Every bracket and pulley involved in the serpentine conversion kit is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum. Once machined, every piece is finely polished to a mirror finish and clear powdercoated for durability and ease of cleaning. Each piece is also designed to bolt right on and align correctly. All kits include standard components such as stainless steel hardware, polished stainless steel turnbuckles, and quality QA1 rod ends.

The new Billet Specialties serpentine conversion kits are offered in a number of setups for both small- and big-blocks. Kits range in price and number of components depending on your needs. Billet Specialties offers kits for motors using an alternator only, alternator and power steering only, and lastly, alternator with A/C and power steering. All are designed to work with a long water pump. Billet specialties also offers serpentine kits to mount at the top of the motor, or at the mid of the motor. Along with the kits, Billet Specialties offers a variety of accessories such as polished radiator caps, power steering pump reservoir caps, and more to spruce up the underbelly of your hood

Considering SC is all about cool, cost-efficient products, we got our hands on one of these new serpentine conversion kits. When choosing which kit and motor to use, we went where the trend seems to be heading: a high-horsepower small-block with A/C and power steering. The top mount kit we received from Billet Specialties comes complete with a passenger side alternator bracket, an A/C bracket for 508 compressor, an alternator pulley with fan and nose cone, an A/C clutch cover, a water pump pulley with nose cone, a crank pulley, two idler pulleys, and a Saginaw power steering pump bracket and pulley. However, the compressor, alternator, and power steering pump were not supplied with the kit.
