Day 4 of our CPP Week To Wicked Presented by Golden Star was a busy day of details both large and small. Last night we mated the 1955 Chevy's body to the CPP chassis, so with that big step out of the way today was about assembling the front end, knocking out more wiring, and adding trim. But, the biggest deal today was installing the TMI interior. Yea, what would normally take months at a custom interior shop will be accomplished in mere hours by the guys at TMI. The contoured and bolstered seats came out killer and they were even able to run AC ducts from the Old Air Products unit under the dash, through the center console, to the rear seats!
We also had Lee stop by from our favorite exhaust shop, Muffler Man in Placentia, CA, to help us stitch in the exhaust system for the '55. While that was going one we assembled and installed the Hot Rods By Dean Tri-Five core support and plumbed it into the rest of the AC system.
Tomorrow we will continue the wiring dance, plumb the cooling system, add the front fenders (along with the trim), and start getting the car ready to fire while the Falken tires are getting stretched around the American Legend Racer wheels. We're getting down to the wire and everyone wants the weekend off. Will we be working Saturday? Will the '55 fire the first time we turn the key? Well, you'll just have to tune back in to find out.
Look for recap stories all week long as well updates on our Facebook channel and, of course, Instagram postings. There will also be longer-length video coverage of the build posted up on the sites.
