We love day two of our Week To Wicked build since it's where "stuff really starts to happen". This year's CPP Super Chevy Week to Wicked Presented by Golden Star Classic Auto Parts was no exception. We spent a lot of day one getting organized and figuring out the flow, but today was all about bolting on parts. While one team tackled the chassis the other one worked on doing projects on the body such as the Old Air Products A/C system and the Painless wiring.

On the chassis we buttoned up the CPP 14-inch big brake kit and knocked out all of the plumbing for the brakes as well as the fuel system, which included the CPP 29-gallon fuel tank. The Motor Trend Tech Center was awash in people hustling to get projects into the done category. The Gandrud Chevrolet LT1 was prepped and then fitted with a compact Holley front drive system. The Tilton clutch was added in preparation for the Bowler Transmission Tremec Magnum six-speed.

So, our goals for today was to have the chassis finished with the brakes and fuel system plumbed and the LT1 and Magnum sitting in place. That will leave day 3 for more wiring, some wiring, and even more wiring. That and getting the drivetrain plumbed to the rest of the car and measuring out for the driveshaft, which will complete our drivetrain and get us another big step closer to being on the road. We will also be sending out the American Legend wheels to get shod in their Falken rubber. Will we mate the body to the frame? Tune in tomorrow to find out what happens after hours.

We're sure there will be speedbumps along the way, but that's just part of the Challenge. Look for recap stories all week long as well updates on our Facebook channel and, of course, Instagram postings.
