Want More Boost?Do you have an LS9-powered '09-'10 Corvette ZR1, or a same-engined VetteRod? Here's something to add even more performance: Lingenfelter Performance Engineering's (LPE) overdrive harmonic balancer kit.
The track and dynamometer testing has shown that it will overdrive your LS9's supercharger by 14 percent (resulting in a supercharger speed of 17,500 rpm at 6,500 rpm engine speed)—which means more boost. Need we say what more boost will result in more of?
The kit includes a Lingenfelter ATI overdrive LS9 11-rib harmonic balancer (the balancer hub has a keyway to accept the factory crank key); a new GM-keyed LS9 friction washer; and a new GM LS9 crank bolt.
LPE's overdrive balancer kit can also be used with its LS9 supercharger pulleys for even higher supercharger speeds and boost levels—but this kit isn't recommended for use on LS9s that are road-raced or run in sustained high-rpm applications (i.e. long-distance open-road races)—LPE's got a 2.60-inch diameter pulley upgrade kit that'll overdrive the supercharger 19 percent, if you're planning on entering an event like the Silver State Classic.
