Second-gen Header Solution
The '70- 74 and '75- 81 F-bodies have different subfloor designs, so Hooker developed specific engine mounting brackets to optimize fitment in both model ranges with multiple suspension fitments. Built to work with this application-specific mounting system, Hooker now offers full- and mid-length mild-steel headers. They provide maximum component clearance, ground clearance, and room for large-diameter exhaust tubing. The full-length headers are available for '75- 81 second-gens, while the mid-length headers fit all second-gen model years. These headers are configured with all-new proprietary components exclusive to Hooker, including investment-cast flanges and collector attenuators as well as one-piece, formed merge collectors that increase exhaust gas velocity for improved power. Designed for carbureted classic and performance vehicles, Driven's Carb Defender Fuel Additive is specifically formulated to protect against ethanol corrosion and induction deposits. Special corrosion inhibitors work to prevent expensive repairs and diminished performance caused by ethanol-blended pump gasoline. High levels of ethanol dilution in motor oil can lead to rust and other corrosion problems in the fuel system and inside the engine. This new additive, however, controls combustion chamber residue, plus cleans and protects surfaces of the fuel system and intake tract. Driven Racing Oil Carb Defender Fuel Additive keeps the carburetor functioning properly and is designed for the unique needs of classic vehicles that spend much of their lives in storage between cruises and special events. Flaming River is excited to announce the addition of Billet HD Amp high-output alternators to their growing line of high-performance automotive products. These alternators feature new technologies and increased efficiencies over OEM alternators that equate to excellent output at extremely low engine rpm, more horsepower to the wheels, and less energy wasted in the form of heat. Precision-balanced low-mass rotors allow these alternators to operate safely at shaft speeds of 20,000+ rpm. This high-rpm capability, plus excellent output at speeds as low as 400 rpm, give the user a broader operating rpm range and more flexibility in the size of the crankshaft pulley they wish to use. Heat is great if you're tanning or want to grill a steak. But when it comes to automatic transmission fluid and engine oil, cooking is the last thing you want to do. That's what makes the B&M Racing SuperCoolers must-have items for when the mercury starts to rise. Using a stacked plate design and oven-brazed all-aluminum construction for added strength with excellent heat dissipation, the SuperCoolers have a Low Pressure Drop feature, which includes two bypass channels near the fittings to allow fluid to flow freely. Controlled by viscosity, fluid is returned directly to the lube circuit through bypass openings in the stacked plate core.
