On top of the Meguiar's ScratchX treatment, we polished the entire car with Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax, a new, synthetic paint protectant. It increases the luster of the paint job and protects it from the elements. Unlike the ScratchX, NXT Tech Wax was allowed to dry, then removed after it had fully hazed.
Touch-UpsFor rubber components, Mike suggested Meguiar's Hot Shine, which was perfect for the tires. We applied Meguiar's Trim Detailer to the weatherstripping, interior rubber and vinyl parts, and the exterior belt line found on '86 Corvettes (such as the part that says "Tuned Port Injection"). It's important to wipe any excess residue from the vehicle after drying, especially interior parts. The wheels were shined with Meguiar's NXT metal polish, which was allowed to dry, then hand-buffed to achieve the final luster.
