We are coming close to wrapping up our Week to Wicked presented by Classic Performance Products. Finishing up bleeding the brakes, making all of the electrical connections to power and we are on the verge of firing up our MAST 700-plus horsepower LS7. It's looking good. The staff from MAST is here and ready to connect their laptops and get this truck makin' some power! Looks like the afternoon on the fifth day will be a fast paced effort for sure.
Our longbed is now a shortbed and that's another project to finish up by end of daygetting the bed mounted to the shortened frame (remember Day One we used the Brothers bed shortening kit to take 12 inches out of the frame/wheelbase) for the last time. The CPP suspension is in place and our wheels from American Legend the Cruiser Series are mounted with Falken rubber and even the hubcaps feature some detail. We had local hot rodder and pinstriper Phil Whetstone come over and apply some paint.
Bleeding the CPP master cylinder and brakes proved to be a simple task and at the same time handling the electrical chores for us is Jeff Abbott from Painless Performance Products. While all of this excitement is going on work continues on the interior. Getting the doors to fit, finishing off the door handles with the components from Brothers, installing the Dakota Digital gauges, final mount of the CPP steering column, and you can see there is lots going on and lots of detail work to get accomplished before end of day. Friday afternoon of Day Five will be reserved for making some horsepower.
Oh, it looks like Saturday will be another full-tilt boogie day of actionand results.
