Regulators, Mount Up!
Procomp Motorsport found a way to help make racing more affordable. It now offers a new line of fuel pressure regulators for serious race applications that are made from CNC-machined billet aluminum and anodized in midnight black. The regulators have a return outlet designed to assist in eliminating fuel pressure drops and also feature a built in fuel pressure gauge port. Includes black anodized AN-fittings as well. Available in 2- and 4-port designs, they start at about $60 retail.
Patriot Exhaust Products has recently introduced a Tight Tuck block hugger-style header designed to fit 348-409 W engines in most swap applications. The header is constructed from 16-gauge tubing and 5/16-inch thick flanges and utilizes 13/4-inch primary tubes and 21/2-inch collectors for improved flow and horsepower. The headers are designed to fit in the tightest of engine compartments, clear stock motor mounts and can be used with any oil filter system or transmission and starter combination. Patriot Tight Tucks are available in a raw finish or with metallic ceramic coating. The headers come complete with high-temp gaskets, header bolts, reducers, and complete instructions.
Turn Those Accessories
The Pro-Track LS1 from March Performance is just the thing you need for mounting accessory components on the popular LS1, LS2 and LS7 engines when used in muscle car swaps. The kit comes with an aluminum water pump, Power Master alternator, alternator pulley with fan and nose cover, alternator bracket, A/C bracket, Sanden A/C unit, power steering brackets, canister style power steering pump, power steering pulley with nose cover, OEM-style spring tensioner, crank pulley and required balancer hub adapter, and idlers. The kit is CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum for strength, hardcoated on high-wear areas for durability, and clear powdercoated for maintenance-free operation. Zinc And Phosphorus Are Back
Thanks to government regulations, today's oils are missing many of the critical ingredients needed for engine protection forcing builders to add in extra additives in order to maintain engine safety and performance. Engineers at Comp Cams and Endure Performance Lubricants have been working hand-in-hand to develop the ZDDP-enhanced Engine Break-In Oil that provides maximum protection during initial engine break-in. The new multi-viscosity, mineral-based Comp Cams Engine Break-In Oil improves the surface mating of valvetrain components (especially flat tappets), rotating assembly, rod journals, piston rings, valve guides and other vital areas of the engine. The break-in oil is fully formulated and has the optimum amount of critical additives ZDDP (zinc and phosphorus), molybdenum, detergents and high-grade base oil.
Push Button Dampening
The RideTech Select series is a steel body monotube damper with two sets of independent internal valving so you can choose between "cruise-mode" with a soft compliant ride or a firmer "sport mode" for handling performance-all at the touch of a switch. The heart of the RideTech Select is two independent sets of electronically controlled valving inside the monotube damper. In default mode (no power applied), the lower valving stack is engaged and provides a very compliant ride. When power is applied through a dash-mounted control panel, the upper valve stack is engaged to firm up the ride quality and provide extra cornering and handling performance.
