Slam One Back
You've seen the pros slam back sequential shifters in race machines, now you can upgrade the Tremec T56 and TR6060 in the ‘Vette to do the same. Get rid of that H-pattern slowness with a direct replacement, using the original gear case, mating surfaces, mountings, clutch, slave cylinder, and drive shafts. Coupled with increased speed and strength, dog-engagement shift times drop to a slick 0.35 to 0.45-seconds, or down to 10-20 milliseconds with the electronic paddle-shift mechanism. Upgrades are also available should you already have an existing MTI Racing H-pattern dog box. Either way, rowing back the gears takes little effort from your feet, and downshifts are clean and crisp. For reference, the gear ratios starting with First gear are as follows: 2.437, 1.611, 1.228, 1.00, 0.875, and 0.777.
