AND THE WINNER IS...
Dick Johnson, of Princeton, Ind., was one of five finalists at the Pacers vs. Washington Wizards game on Wednesday, April 18, attempting to win the Pacers customized 1967 Chevy Camaro. Johnson chose the correct key and won the Camaro. The Camaro was given away on Fan Appreciation Night as the culmination of the Pacers' 40th Anniversary Celebration.
INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Pacers are giving away a customized 1967Chevy Camaro as part of the continuing celebration of the 40thAnniversary Season.
"This promotion is a chance for fans to get involved and recognize someof the best players in the history of our franchise," said Pacers Sports& Entertainment CEO and President Donnie Walsh. "Plus, fans can winsome great prizes throughout this promotion culminating with the grandprize, a customized 1967 Chevy Camaro."
Fans will be able to enter to win the Camaro by visiting kiosksthroughout Conseco Fieldhouse or by visiting Pacers.com.
The 1967 Chevy Camaro will be given away on Fan Appreciation Night onApril 18 as the Pacers host the Washington Wizards at 8:00 p.m.
Entering for a chance to win the 1967 Chevy Camaro will go through April3, 2007.
The customized Camaro is Pacers blue with a custom interior. The seatswill have a Pacers logo embroided on them and the trunk will havehardwood installed similar to a basketball floor. The Camaro will bedisplayed throughout Conseco Fieldhouse and at multiple Central IndianaChevy dealers for the remainder of the 2006-07 season. All the work onthe Camaro was completed by Retro Tech in Avon, Ind.
The 1967 Chevy Camaro represents the first year of the Pacers franchise,as well as the first year that Chevrolet produced the Camaro. The 1967Chevy Camaro was also the pace car at the 1967 Indianapolis 500.
