Le Mans Corvette Documentary to Premiere in May

In June 2010, a team led by Corvettes at Carlisle event promoter Lance Miller embarked for France on a very special mission. Miller’s aim was to fulfill his late father’s dream of returning the No. 3 Cunningham Corvette to Le Mans, where it had scored the marque’s first class win at the historic French track 50 years earlier.

A documentary crew led by Texas filmmaker Michael Brown recorded the entire trip, along with many of the challenges Miller and his team faced along the way. The Quest, a full-length film documentary, is the result.

“[The film] follows the dream of renowned car enthusiast Chip Miller, who had long dreamed of finding, restoring, and returning the No. 3 car to Le Mans in 2010,” Brown says. “That dream was cut short when he died in early 2004 from a rare disease called amyloidosis. His son, Lance, fulfilled his dream by taking [original race driver] John Fitch and the car back to LeMans last year. It’s a compelling tale of a son’s love for his father and his passion to see a dream fulfilled.”

The Quest will premiere on May 6 at the Carlisle Theatre in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. A DVD release is expected later this year. All proceeds from the premiere will benefit the Chip Miller Charitable Foundation.
