2004 Chevy Corvette Convertible
I bought this '04 Corvette convertible three years ago with 1,161 miles on the odometer. It took me 1 1/2 years of searching to find my "California dream." It now has 5,500 miles on the odometer, and its only modification is a Corsa exhaust system, which is absolutely great. The car has HUD (head-up display) and a 12-CD player that plays only the Beach Boys and Johnny Cash while I'm cruising the boulevards of Orange County. It's waxed so shiny that it just slips into the garage.
A Vet's Vette
I grew up in Modesto, California. On warm summer nights of cars and music, I fell in love with Corvettes and the dream of someday owning one. I'm now 59 years old, and this '77 Corvette is my sixth.
I left Modesto in 1968 and went to Vietnam. When I returned, the second thing I purchased was a '68 Corvette. It was everything I knew it would be.
Recently, I was diagnosed with cancer caused by Agent Orange. This '77 Corvette, along with the love and help of my family (Cathy and Bob), means everything to me. It is a masterpiece in progress. I really feel like I am a "Vet worthy."
'86 C4 Convertible
I bought my '86 new, and 23 years later, it's still all original, with only 16,000 miles. It's one of a kind and deserves to be featured in VETTE magazine.

Attached is a picture of my favorite two hobbies: old Corvettes and new Corvettes. Sorry, Shadow and Biscuit, but you guys are going to have to come in Second Place to the '67 roadster and the '08 Z06. I'm living the dream, driving America's sports car, and I have two good labs as co-pilots.

'96 C4 Convertible
What an honor it was to have our '96 convertible photographed with this WWII B-17 bomber. Horsepower everywhere! Mike Hoffman, our friend and photographer, took this picture at our local airport.
Our Vette has its original Torch Red paint, along with a Torch Red interior, a white top, ZR1 wheels with gold lug nuts, and flares on the rear wheelwells to cover the 11-inch rear tires. The factory C4 emblems are gold, and the Flowmaster mufflers sound fantastic. Other mods include a K&N intake system and a throttle-body bridge. The car has 30,000 original miles, and we are the third local owners.
Our family is dedicated to reading VETTE magazine cover to cover, and we always watch the mail in anticipation of the newest issue. Thank you for publishing a magazine Vette owners can really sink their teeth into.
Last From The Past
'04 C5 Coupe
This is a photo of my two Corvettes. They are both "last year" models. My '82 has a steering wheel autographed by Zora Arkus-Duntov. My '04 is the last year with the pop-up headlights. I show both of them and have won numerous car shows, along with a Best of Show. I've been a Corvette lover since I was 16 years old.
Mean Green "Top Flight" Machine
'75 C3 Coupe
I've subscribed to your magazine for more than 10 years and enjoy reading every article each month. This is a picture of my '75 Stingray coupe, which received an NCRS "Top Flight" award in 2008. It has only 13,000 miles on the odometer, is completely stock and original, and is powered by an L48 350 engine and a Turbo 400 transmission. The options are A/C, power windows, power steering, power brakes, a tilt-telescopic steering column, and an AM/FM stereo. Model year 1975 was the first year of the HEI distributor, the electronic tachometer, and the catalytic converter on the Corvette.
The paint is an eye-catching Bright Green Metallic, which was only used in '75 and was applied to just 1,664 units. My car is a perfect example of a '70s Corvette, with bright paint, a radical body style, and technical advances.
