The 409 block has Ross 14.5:1 compression pistons, a special grind Lunati camshaft, large diameter race headers, a tunnel ram intake manifold, tuned and flowed 750 cfm carbs, MSD crank trigger ignition with 8AL amplifier, and 9mm spark plug wires. A 3.5 gallon fuel cell sits where the battery once was. It now resides aft in the trunk. Engine power output is about 650 hp at 7,000 rpm.
