Alain Thibault – 1964 Impala

Quick Shot: Alain bought his ’64 in ’04, after it’d been sitting in storage since ’84. Besides adding disc brakes and lowering the stance, he’s replaced the original 283 with a 383, and plans to swap in a 700-R4 for the current Powerglide.

Dale Boyd – 1964 Chevy II

Quick Shot: Dale told us he’d love to see his Nova in the magazine. Well, we’re happy to oblige. The rare post car sports a ZZ383 crate engine, TKO-600 six-speed, and is painted Root Beer Brown metallic.

Larry Norman – 1974 Chevelle

Quick Shot: Bought new in ’74 by his grandmother, Larry inherited the A-body 28 years ago. Except for a fresh paint job, new white vinyl top, and a few N.O.S. parts Larry hunted down, this triple-white Chevelle is all original.

Steve Hayes – 1968 Camaro

Quick Shot: After buying it used in 1973, Steve drove this machine on the street until ’76, when he switched to drag racing only with it. Over 30 years later, he resurrected the Camaro with Detroit Speed and Christ Alston suspension parts, and a host of other pro touring goodies.

Leonard Wright – 1964 Malibu SS

Quick Shot: Leonard pulled his ‘64 out of an Alabama cow pasture in ‘89, and recently just finished a fresh build on the car, with a Dart 421 small-block under the hood, five-speed Tremec trans, and custom interior. Hard to believe he only paid $600 for the car when he bought it.

Wally Litten – 1955 Bel Air Hardtop

Quick Shot: In the spring of 1960, high school junior Wally Litten turned 16, and received the gift of a used ’55 Bel Air sport coupe. Today that car is still with him, racking up miles and memories.
