1963 Chevrolet Nova Convertible - NovAir

Wheels and tires on the Nova consist of a set of polished 15x7-inch American Racing T70 Torq-Thrust wheels wrapped with P195/50x15-inch in the front and P225/60x15-inch Goodyear Eagle radial rubber on the rear.

Powering this beauty is a highly detailed .060-inch overbore, Ed Taylor Racing Engines/Ventura Motorsports '65 327 Corvette "fuelie" engine equipped with a set of TRW 10.5:1 compression pistons, a Competition Cams cam and kit, a set of Kenny Dutweiller-TFS big-valve aluminum alloy cylinder heads, and lots of detailing.

Three of the more interesting features of the interior are its Bill Cook-modified '58-60 Chevrolet Impala steering wheel bolted up to a Bob Chandler-Steering Column Pros '64 Nova/GM six-way-tilt custom steering column, and the '67 Chevelle "knee knocker" mechanical tachometer.

Riding out back is a fully detailed, 3.73:1-geared, Tom's Differentials-axle-equipped, narrowed GM 12-bolt Posi-traction rear axle riding on Nova rear leaf springs equipped with a set of KYB gas-charged shock absorbers.

Up front, you'll find a set of chrome-plated '63 Nova control arms hooked up to a pair of Super 2-inch-dropped front spindles equipped with a pair of Superior-Chevelle 11-inch front disc brakes.

Painter/car builder Frank Saenz was able to pick up the "NovAir" project after Steve Sanford became too involved with his booming automotive art and illustration business.

Inside, you'll find a Mac's Upholstery-installed PUI/Modern Performance Nova classic white vinyl interior kit with red cut pile carpeting.
