School DaysJoe Taylor, of South Charleston, West Virginia, had his first experience with a Nova back in high school when he was 17. Someone on high bequeathed him a '68 SS 350 Nova, his first car. Unfortunately, when Taylor went off to college, he would be forced to sell the Nova and buy something else- purists, look away now-a Ford Pinto. Don't fret-years later, after Taylor became a little more established, he purchased a very similar automobile to his first, a '68 SS Nova. In fact, the only difference is that his current Nova has a four-on-the-floor.

Kimo Galbraith sent in images of his meticulously re-created '60 El Camino, a beautiful pearl white and maroon machine that Kimo finished work on about a year ago. The El Camino packs an original 283, bored .030-over, and is finished off with lots of chrome goodies. To Kimo's knowledge, this is the only '60 El Camino on Maui, and perhaps on all of the Hawaiian islands (the car has been to every car show on Maui for the past 10 years). |  Pink Camaro Here we have...  Pink CamaroHere we have Rick Valenzuela's '69 Camaro and his friend, Teresa of Knockers Sports Bar in Montclair, California. Rick purchased the vehicle three years ago for just $2800-a testament to the fact that it was mostly wrecked and sans engine. Currently, Valenzuela is working on a 350 with a B&M blower, a combination that Rick is hoping will make somewhere around 550 hp. The Camaro also packs a Turbo 400 3-speed, a 12-bolt with a 4.11 gear and a lovely woman in pink adorning the hood. |  Wifey Wishes About six years...  Wifey WishesAbout six years ago, Clark Weaver's lovely wife requested that he buy another '63 Chevy II (a previous example owned by Weaver was sold, under some protest). Clark found this Nova in his home state of Colorado, but, according to some sources, the car had a rich hot rodding history in Southern California (among other things, Weaver found NHRA Winternationals stickers from the late-'60s while the rebuild took place). The car now carries a 302 with '69 fuelie heads and a 750-cfm Holley carb. |
