Art Boze had always wanted a Nomad but could never quite scratch that itch, so when he did finally buy one he decided to go all-in with it. The time-tired wagon was sent to Classic Car Studio (CCS) in Missouri to be worked over by Noah Alexander and his talented team. The Nomad project, aptly named GoneMad, got started and soon the ’55 was blown into a bazillion pieces. The backbone of this project is a Roadster Shop Revo chassis replete with Wilwood binders. Powering this crazy wagon will be a Shafiroff Racing Engines 509-inch big-block filled with SCAT guts, a billet Comp bumpstick, and topped with a pair of Edelbrock carbs. The 625hp and 638–lb-ft mill is backed by a Bowler 4L80E trans. But the real beauty of this ride is in the hand-fabricated metalwork that was inspired by old Italian speedboats and cigar lounges. By the time you read this, the GoneMad ’55 will be done, so look for a full feature on this crazy Chevy very soon.
