Detoxx
After losing his '96 WS6 to hurricane Katrina, Corey Buckley of Slidell, LA, knew exactly what he needed to do. Starting with a regular '02 Trans Am, Corey replaced the hood with a slick WS9 version and added a set of massive 18x10 and 18x11-inch CCW 505a wheels wrapped in Michelin PS2 tires. Sam Strano lowering springs and Koni single-adjustable shocks are used to perfect the ride height while a custom Futral 228/230 camshaft feeding off of a FAST 92mm intake provides the forward thrust. For exhausting all this air, Corey uses QTP long-tube headers and a custom Futral Y-pipe feeding into a Borla XR-1 race muffler and SLP LM2 catback. Of course, leaving nothing alone, Corey added a Yank SS3600 converter and TCI transmission cooler to make those 11-inch-wide tires work even harder.

Dope-Fed Formula
Carlos Carillo of Houston, TX, is proud of his daily driver '98 Formula with over 200,000 miles-and he definitely deserves to be. This might be one of the nicest looking and performing F-bodies in the country. Carlos motivates his daily driver with two stages of nitrous, a custom cam from Patrick G, heads from TEA, and a set of Kooks 1 7/8-inch long-tubes. Backing up all that power is a built 4L60E with a Yank SS3600 converter turning a well-built Moser 12-bolt with a 3.73 gear. Depending on where he is Carlos either rocks a set of 17x9.5 and 17x11 CCW Classics or the CCW Drag Pack with 16x5 and 16x10s covered in some sticky tires. With an AJE tubular front K-member and A-arms up front, this Formula can definitely back up its good looks.

Puerto Rican Pride
Edward Fuhs of San Juan, Puerto Rico, has been a loyal reader for years and now it's his time to shine. His gorgeous red '99 Trans Am gets its amazing stance from a set of Eibach springs and Spohn tubular lower control arms. The clean front lip and side skirts are from RK Sport and they help suck the TA even closer to the ground. Using a PerformaBuilt 4L60E and a TCI 3,000-stall, the stock rear tires don't even stand a chance. A dry NOS nitrous system and Edelbrock exhaust help keep this WS6 much faster than his weekend toy, a red '06 Corvette. It must be nice to cruise around in warm San Juan, T-tops off and slammed to the ground.
