Millennium Lady

And the Millennium Yellow Car of Her Dreams

Marsha Goeman was born in North Carolina and has always been car crazy. She has owned both a Firebird and a Camaro, but it was not until she moved to Florida and met her fiance, Mark Patrick, that Corvettes came into her life. When they started dating, Mark owned a red '88 C4, and his apartment was filled with Corvette memorabilia. Slowly, Marsha became intrigued with Corvettes. One day she spotted a Millennium Yellow coupe, and it was love at first sight. She put a photo of her dream car on her computer as a screen saver with the caption "Car of My Dreams." She looked at that photo for almost two years until she got up the courage to start looking. She and Mark started shopping, and Marsha found exactly what she wanted sitting on the showroom floor of a local dealership. It was a new '01 automatic Millennium Yellow coupe. Marsha had never even sat in a C5 when the negotiations began. When the dealer offered her their lowest price, she told them she would think it over. She contacted her stepfather Hershel McDonald in North Carolina and asked if he could get her the lowest price on a similar car. Hershel quickly fulfilled her request, and, armed with this information, she returned to her home dealership.

After a lot of back and forth, her local dealer matched the North Carolina price and Marsha was the proud owner of her dream car. As she drove her new C5 for the first time, she knew she had made the right decision. "It's a wonderful car, and I love the way I feel when I am driving it. People stare and honk their horns. I just smile and wave." Well, Team VETTE is positive that Marsha and her Corvette will help keep the wave alive! Hershel was so impressed with C5s during his shopping excursion that he bought a silver '98 coupe that he still owns. Mark fell in love with Marsha (first) and her car (second), and they are getting married this year. Mark bought a black '99 six-speed coupe. He kept his trusty '88 C4--after all, it brought him the girl of his dreams. They are now a three-Corvette family.

Marsha is a real estate professional and drives her dream car to work everyday with a big smile on her face. Besides keeping fit and trim with exercise, her other hobby is caring for her pet Doberman dog. Team VETTE could tell by her enthusiasm for her car and fiance that both will be a part of her life for a long time. Welcome to the Corvette family!
