Every picture does tell a story and the story of Scot McKittrick's '86 Monte Carlo SS has taken many twists and turns over the years. Hooked on Montes since the 8th grade, Scot first spotted this car at a show in Indianapolis. He was looking for a Monte with a motor or transmission swap and at the time, this car sported a relatively stock drivetrain. Shortly after that show, the car was repossessed, but not before the previous owner removed nearly everything but the paint job. Suddenly, the car had turned into the perfect candidate for an LT1 T56 swap and Scot bought the car.

In addition to the new motor and transmission, Scot also added an 8.5-inch rear end with 3.42 gears from an '87 Grand National and squeezed in 275/40 BFGoodrich KDs in the rear and 245/45s up front, mounted on 17-inch Centerline Stars. Scot has made several other changes and more are on the way.
