The last show of the 2017 Super Chevy Show series roared into Tucson for two days of drag and car show action. And while this was the last event of 2017 it was the first time at the Tucson dragway as part of the expanded 8-shows held this year.
Like all Super Chevy shows, Tucson had something for everyone. For those who like to relax there was the National Parts Depot (NPD) sponsored car show were beautifully detailed Chevys competed for trophies or, even better, one of the coveted Super Chevy Show jackets! NPD’s pick was a stunning blue 1968 Camaro SS drop top and after checking out the car we couldn’t argue with the choice!
On the drag race side drivers fought hard, and into the night, to claw their way through the brackets for a chance at bragging rights and a chunk of the prize money up for grabs to the top cars. For spectators there was more than just the drag race and car show eye candy. There was also a roaring jet car demonstration, vendor midway, and a swap meet that seemed to have a little bit of everything.
So what is the Super Chevy Show? Well, if you’re a Chevy fan it’s an event you don’t want to miss since if features some of the fastest and best looking Chevys in the country! Tucson was the last show of the 2017 season, but keep an eye on www.superchevy.com for the release of the 2018 Original Super Chevy Show schedule.
