With the summer event season kicking into high gear, the Super Chevy crew made its way to the hills of Pennsylvania west of Philly, where tucked away in a small valley Maple Grove Raceway sat waiting for an invasion of Chevy muscle.
Sponsored this year by Twisted Tea, the Maple Grove event always turns out to be one of the hottest (literally and figuratively) on the tour, but this year we couldn't believe our good fortune. Mother Nature paid us with unusually cool temps on Friday and Saturday. While Sunday was definitely hot, it was still below the norm for the Grove. One good thing about Maple Grove is the grass areas where the car show and swap meet take place, sparing everyone the heat-radiating effects of a monstrous plane of asphalt.
The variety of show cars at the Grove is always fantastic, the racer turnout huge, and the track itself an enjoyable place to spend a weekend. We can't wait for 2012.
