The Super Chevy Show Invades the Texas Motorplex.

For the second year in a row, the Super Chevy Show was a blast at the Texas Motorplex. The show had all the elements of a good time, from blown fuel cars to shiny show vehicles. Just like last year's event, there was plenty to do for a Chevy fan. You could cruise to the event with 60 other like-minded friends from Soul Man's Bar-B-Que, or you could sit in the stands and watch the quarter-mile action. You could enjoy seeing guys slip and slide their cars around the autocross track or jump in your Bow Tie and join them out there. You could have your car dyno'd, stuff yourself on all the yummy Texas food, take your kids to the Revell area to build a model, or just sit and listen to The Morticians rock band crank out the tunes.

New to the show this year was the all-blown, heads-up nostalgia dragster racing class, courtesy of the Texas Blown Fuel Association. "These nostalgia dragsters are the perfect car to be roaring down the quarter-mile during the Super Chevy Show at the Motorplex, because they blend speed and style, while offering us a chance to see a dragster from the golden era in drag racing," says Gabrielle Stevenson, general manager of the Motorplex.

The show was just a great time, and we always feel welcome when we are at the Motorplex. We shot a ton of images over the weekend and just don't have room here to show them all to ya. Make sure to check out our expanded coverage of the event at www.superchevy.com, and we hope to see you-that's right YOU-at one of our remaining killer events this year.

[Cruise] The event weekend officially kicked off Saturday morning with a special car cruise from Soulman’s Bar-B-Que in Rockwall, Texas. A bunch of eager participants munched down on some killer breakfast cooked up by Soulman’s before heading off toward the Motorplex. We would like to throw out a special thanks to the Rockwall PD for stopping traffic so we could all leave as a group.
