All good things must come to an end, and the 2007 Super Chevy Show season did just that in the sunny clime of Florida at Moroso Motorsports Park in West Palm Beach. Any excuse for the staff to bask in the sun-drenched shores of the Sunshine State is a good one; it only gets better when you can combine it with droves of Bow Tie fanatics and machinery.

The weekend's festivities kicked off with a test-and-tune on Friday, and moved back to the hotels of the West Palm Beach area for the Super Chevy Show annual awards banquet. All the class drag winners of the 2007 season were crowned, and many advertisers and supporters of the show were also shown thanks for another year of great Super Chevy Show support.

The racing action was hot and heavy Saturday and Sunday, with hundreds of bracket cars taking to the strip. The car show was also bustling with many exquisite Bow Tie machines, and was a welcome respite from the deafening sounds of the racers. The car show remained lively, even with threatening skies all weekend and a couple of brief rain showers on Sunday. It became apparent that the Bow Tie faithful can't be dissuaded by some meddlesome Florida weather.

The 2007 Nitro Coupe champion, Cody Barklage, was unfortunately unable to attend the competition at Moroso; the word on the street was that the Barklages suffered a trailer fire, and much of their equipment was destroyed. The Nitro Coupe finals in Moroso saw Dan Bandish in a Corvette smoke Ken "The Kid" Walsh with a scorching 6.392 at 224.60 mph to Walsh's shutdown run of 8.519 at 109.84 mph.

Rick McDonough of nearby Hollywood took home the ProCharger Bracket One Brawl honors, running a 9.19 on a 8.54 dial-in. In the JEG's Bracket Two battle, Mike Kessler took the win in his mean green Olds 442 with an impressive 14.970 on a 14.97 dial-in. His .041 reaction time didn't hurt his cause, either.

The DOT Tire Street Fight saw a '72 Chevelle win at the hands of Shane McFadden of Orlando, Florida, winning at the starting line after runner-up A. Shay Baranowski redlighted.
