Every once and while the folks at the NHRA museum like to shake things up a bit', we mean that in a good way. Feature vehicles and displays at the museum are always undergoing change. You won't always see the same display twice in the west wing of the museum. This past November the legendary wheel company American Racing celebrated its 50th anniversary at the Wally Parks NHRA museum. Along with that celebration came a new display in the west wing. That new display housed an entire wall of vintage photographs from the earliest days of American's long history. Besides the photos on display there were a number of original prototype mag wheels on display as well. If that wasn't enough the latest and greatest nostalgic styled wheels (which are currently under production) were also stacked racked and displayed. Personally I'm drooling over those "as cast" Daisey wheels. Also on hand there were a number of famous drag racing personalities from "back in the day" and live music from a local Southern California surf band kept kicking out the jams. The American Racing display will be at the museum until the end of January '07, if you're in the neighbor hood and are nuts about nostalgic racing, stop by the museum and take a gander.
