This past July, New England Dragway in Epping, New Hampshire, played host to the Super Chevy Show Series, and what a show it was. Hot rods, musclecars, trucks, and race cars from all over the East made their way to the beautiful environs of eastern New Hampshire, for a weekend full of exciting racing and good, old-fashioned, four-wheeled fun.
Being a New England native (I'm a Connecticut Yankee), just heading back to the Northeast was a treat in itself. But adding the fun and excitement of a Super Chevy Show to the mix made this one of the best weekends I've had in a long time. I was pleasantly reminded of the quality of both the show and race cars of the Northeast, as well as the turnout and the friendly atmosphere that makes Northeastern rod runs so enjoyable.
As usual, the New England Dragway staff and the crews of Autostar and AutoZone worked their collective butts off to make sure everyone had a memorable time. The car show was an awesome collection of classic Chevys, with some of the nicest Camaros, Chevy IIs, Chevelles, Vettes, and pickups in the country for all to see, appreciate, and drool over. And the drag racing was, as always, a heart- (and ear-) pounding experience, as well. Sit back and peruse the images we brought back to share.
