The first reaction any of us has when we arrive at any car event is the overwhelming barrage of color. After a few minutes our eyes begin to separate and categorize. Pretty soon we realize what's going on and in short order it all makes sense. (Well, sort of!)
ARP is excited to bring you all of the NSRA Nationals coverage including photo galleries, videos, and event coverage here!
It's no different here at the 2nd Annual Danchuk Tri-Five Nationals in Bowling Green, Kentucky taking place at Beech Bend Raceway. Just for fun the staff of Street Rodder made a friendly wager on what the most popular color of Tri-Five we would find at this year's event. Given each of us has a camera it wasn't too terribly difficult to document our findings but we still don't believe what we saw or had on "film".
We all were pretty sure that red or black or maybe even white would be the most popular color. Well, those of us that figured on white were partially correct. You see, the Tri-Five Chevy was made during an era where two-tone paint schemes were popular, very popular. We found lots of red and white, black and white, copper and cream, orange and white, green and white but the hands down winner for the most popular color of the weekend isturquoise and white. Yep!
Now, I wouldn't take these findings to the proverbial "bank" nor would I use these findings in court but from what we saw and what we took photos of there was no mistaking that the turquoise and white Tri-Five was the color of the dayso to write.
As you thumb through this photo gallery don't worry you are losing your vision or seeing double, triple, etcbut you are seeing a lot of turquoise and white. Now, just for fun can you spot the two not so Tri-Five we included but most definitely the proper color?
