Chevrolet debuted a matching pair of lowered, LT1-powered beauties at SEMA 2016. The Slammer Camaro wears Dazzling Black paint and a set of 22- and 24-inch five-spoke wheels. The 245/30R22 front and 275/25R24 rear tires tuck into the factory sheetmetal with an air-adjustable suspension that teams with Chevrolet's ground effects kit to make the car look even lower.
Inside, the interior takes the factory available Adrenaline Red color and applies it to nearly all the surfaces, including the instrument panel. Unser the hood, the Dazzling Black tri-coat paint was applied to the Chevrolet Performance engine cover and custom-built close-outs in the engine compartment. Its 455hp LT1 V8 uses Chevrolet Performance's axle-back, stainless steel exhaust system that reduces backpressure up to 25 percent over the stock system, while also incorporating an Active Noise Cancellation calibration to work in concert with the Bose audio system.
Like the Camaro, the Chevelle uses an air suspension to get a low stance, this time over 18- and 20-inch five-spoke wheels. They also share Camaro's 6-piston Brembo brakes. The similarities don't end there, as the Chevelle takes the Adrenaline Red interior of the Camaro even further, as the interior is practically dipped in red from carpet to headliner.
