The first drivers' meeting of the Tri-Five Nationals Road Tour was held on a rainy Monday morning at the Hilton Garden Inn in Bowling Green. As we went through the itinerary of the upcoming week's activities the rain started to let up a little. Almost all of the 37 registered participants and passengers were in attendance. Many had made the trip to Bowling Green on Sunday after the NSRA Street Rod Nationals. We set up camp in Bowling Green for the week as the excitement builds for the American Tri-Five Association's Tri-Five Nationals that will take place on Friday and Saturday.
Tuesday many of the participants headed north to the Maker's Mark Distillery in Loretto, Kentucky. It was a beautiful day and a gorgeous two-hour drive to Loretto; the grounds were fantastic. The guided tour took us through seven of the buildings and told the history of that famous brand of Kentucky Bourbon.
Others in our group went to Mammoth Cave Nationals Park and got a chance to explore the beauty of the caves. It was a great day two on the Road Tour.
Stay tuned as we continue our travels in the Bowling Green area and as the excitement builds up to the American Tri-Five Association's Nationals at Beech Bend Raceway.
