The official Speedway Motors Road Tour kicked off in Lincoln, Nebraska, on Friday, July 28. While Lincoln was the official starting point, over 20 participants had already been on the road for four days as they traveled from the West Coast, led by NSRA rep Dave Cahal. Kindig-it Design in Salt Lake City and Wyotech in Wyoming were just two of the places they visited along the way. By Friday evening they were joined by over 25 other rodders to attend the first drivers' meeting of the Speedway Motors Road Tour. After our meeting we headed to the local Culver's where we were greeted by the Rebel Auto Club and local rodders at their weekly cruise-in. It was a nice way for all of us to get to know some of the other participants and check out the local car scene.
From Speedway Motors we headed east to the Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum. We saw some historic planes that helped keep America safe during the Cold War. It was a perfect kickoff to the Speedway Motors Road Tour to the Nationals. We are just getting started. Be sure to check back here all week for additional coverage.
