Day three of the 2017 NSRA Street Rod Nationals in Louisville, Kentucky, was off the charts as far as cars, spectators, and fun goes. We usually don't speak of the weather, but how can we not when an event takes place in the drop-dead middle of summer and the humidity and temps fall well below normal for this time of year. It just doesn't get any better. Seriously, it really doesn't.
With that said, we took full advantage of the situation and gathered up more photos of the coolest Chevys from within the confines of the massive Kentucky Exposition Center. There were plenty of Novas, Tri-Fives, Chevelles, Corvettes, and more from the Bowtie world. We stumbled across the Lucky Enough Car Club display where we found an exceptional gang of first-gen Camaros, which consisted of on-point restorations, as well as a few restomods for those who like their Camaros with a little more personalization and performance. These guys have been coming here for seven years, which is when the NSRA began allowing cars of up to thirty years and older to attend.
We also included photos of our favorite rides from Friday's Pros' Pick area where we came across some truly amazing Chevys. Check out the insane 1970 Camaro that channels the muscle car spirit from the 1970's Street Freak era.
As usual, we couldn't stay away from the Streetkhana (autocross, for those not familiar with the NSRA terminology), so we've thrown in a few cars that we missed from yesterday's action.
The 2017 NSRA Street Rod Nationals has to go down as one of the best in years; Badass cars, great weather, hundreds of great aftermarket vendors, and lot's of autocross action. Good times, indeed.
It's time to head back out to soak in more Louisville lifestyle of hot rodding.
